There was a rumbling on Saturday night in Shiawassee County as a line of unsettled weather approaches Owosso, but what you heard might not have been thunder.  While increased weekend humidity has stirred up some storms that will arrive soon, it was a fireworks show at Nash Nurseries, at Grand River and Friegel in Owosso, that also produced some big bangs.  The annual show was a presentation of the Michigan Pyrotechnic Arts Guild (MPAG), this year celebrating its 20th anniversary.  Shiawassee Central Dispatch announced via its Facebook page that organizers did obtain a permit.  MPAG has a tentative shoot planned for October 12th in Lowell.

A look at the radar just ahead of 12am Sunday July 28th, shows a line of storms that may impact the northeastern portion of Owosso, primarily.  But a second round of storms pushing into West Michigan looks to be making Owosso a target for additional rain and thunder deeper into the overnight hours.

There has been no severe weather associated with these storms.
