Family Life & Fun; Education, Health & Safety and Affordability were among the considerations that made Owosso WalletHub's 65th Best City to Raise a Family in Michigan.

Perhaps the most notable contribution to that overall rank is Curwood Country's "Family Life & Fun" placement.  Owosso ranked inside the list's top 50 most fun cities in Michigan, at 43.

Owosso also ranked 50th for Education, Health & Safety and 53rd for Affordability.

While cities like Lansing, Grand Rapids and Detroit ranked higher in WalletHub's 'fun' category, their overall rank fell below Owosso's.

There were other mid-Michigan cities that made the list, including several Lansing suburbs that wound up grouped together inside the top 25.  Holt ranked 20th, Okemos, 21st, Haslett, 22nd and East Lansing, 23rd.  Waverly ranked not far behind, at 29.

Owosso was the only Shiawassee County city to appear on the list.
