A new initiative from the I-69 Thumb Region, being led by EDSI Consulting, focuses on strengthening employer engagement to address underemployment challenges. If you're struggling to move from just a job to a career with family-sustaining wages, you're asked to participate in a focus group on July 19th at the Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership offices inside the historic Armory building in Owosso.

The aim of the focus groups is to help bridge the gap between employers and hard-working people that are looking to elevate themselves into full-time, higher skill, higher wage positions.
Organizers hope to learn more about the challenges so they can better communicate the challenges to employers and work with employers to remove the obstacles.
For those attending, organizers will also offer information on existing resources that can aid in the transition from job to career.
If you're serious about going to the next level, RSVP for the upcoming focus group session in Owosso, to be held July 19th from 3 to 5pm at 215 N. Water Street. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 989-725-9241.
Can't make it on July 19th? A session will also be held on July 18th in Flint from noon to 2pm at the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce, 519 S. Saginaw Street. To RSVP for the Flint session, email email@example.com or call 810-600-1409.
