There were more than 28,000 visits to Owosso Now between January 1st 2019 and December 31st 2019 by an average of 1,828 unique visitors per month for a total of 36,006 page views (pvs).

These numbers not only represent a significant increase over website traffic in 2018, they represent the greatest traffic in an annum since the site signed online in 2016.

For us, that means capitalizing on the continued growth of Owosso Now, so 2020 will be all about hustling, and how things go will determine what the future of the site looks like.

It was a strong start to the year in 2019. The top three most trafficked months of 2019 were March (9,840 pvs), October (4,508) and January (3,592). There were an average of 3,000 page views per month.

One final note: in an effort to help fight fake news in 2020, we're posting the date and time of publish in larger text at the very top of every story, to make it easier for you and others to spot outdated information before sharing it social media.

For reference below, we've added the published date for each of our Top 12 stories last year as well!

There's more to the story!  Keep reading!

NEW EPISODE
Season 3 Episode 1: The Chair - 1.24.20

Two years ago Josh Strickland purchased an antique chair that purportedly spent decades in the old Owosso Post Office. Today a photo was shared in the Historic Owosso Facebook group. In the photo, a man is sitting in a similar chair. While the thread attempts to figure out who is pictured and where in Owosso the photo was taken, one user suggests that it may have been in the old post office.
