One Killed In I-69 Rollover Accident Friday Afternoon
Lansing Woman Perished, Five Others Hospitalized

On Friday July 5th, 2019 at 12:47pm the Shiawassee County Central Dispatch received a call of an injury accident on I-69.
Soon after, dispatch was advised of civilians performing CPR on one of the passengers. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-69 near the Goodall Road overpass. The vehicle left the roadway where it rolled several times. The driver of the vehicle was ejected. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was a female from Lansing.

The five other passengers of the vehicle all suffered injuries from the accident and were transported to Hurley Hospital.
The crash closed both the east and westbound lanes of I-69 between M-71 and M-13 for several hours.
The Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Vernon Township Fire, Durand City Fire, Perry PD, Durand PD, Michigan State Police, Owosso City Fire Medics, MMR, Corunna Area Ambulance, Perry Fire Rescue, Road Commission, MDOT and Central Dispatch.
The crash is under investigation and speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this crash.
