O Town Cafe is closed. This time, for good.
Owner Steven Cohen posted a Facebook Live video on Saturday announcing that he and his wife and co-owner, Amber, made the decision to make Sunday, September 8th, the cafe's last day open.
In the video, Cohen said there is another interested party in the space located at the corner of Washington and Main in downtown Owosso, and they will move in soon.
He began the announcement, saying "the blessings, experiences, lives and friends that we have been a part of, has been nothing less than God's hand on us and a blessing. "
Cohen said of the cafe's popular "suspended meal program," any extra funds would be donated to organizations that continue to help feed the needy.
The Cohens have made public some recent health challenges Amber is facing. Steven thanked patrons for continued prayers and noted that she has some much needed consultations scheduled which, he said, should help quite a bit.
O Town Cafe has been a staple of the downtown Owosso community since it opened two years ago.
