O-Town Cafe closed in early September and at the time he and his wife made the decision to close, owner Steven Cohen said there was another party interested in the space and they would be moving in soon.  He didn't specify who or what that party was.

On October 27th, a local newspaper published an article indicating the former O-Town Cafe would become occupied by a medical marijuana provisioning center.

Cohen blasted the article in an October 29th Facebook post saying that it was not only untrue, but cost the deal with the original interested party.

There's more to the story!  Keep reading!

"There was a multi-facet deal working but thanks to the false story there isn’t a deal anymore," Cohen wrote.

The story, which appeared in The Independent, indicated that one of the June medical marijuana lottery winners intended to occupy the Matthews Building, but because the building is in such disrepair, was granted approval to move the license, and that the new location would be the former O-Town Cafe location at 101 N. Washington Street.

We reached out to Cohen to find out why he says that space won't become a medical marijuana facility.  He did not say but reiterated that the O-Town Cafe brand, assets and menu is for sale, and that the building rent is an affordable $800 and includes a full basement for storage.
