On January 3rd 2019, Sheena Ann Teddy posted to Facebook that her husband, Dan, hed left home on December 30th 2018 with only a backpack and hadn't been seen since.

Hundreds of comments and thousands of shares later, it seemed that Teddy remained missing.  Over the course of the past year, a story published by Owosso Now on January 3rd about the missing Chesaning man has continued to be read and shared, making it one of the biggest stories of the year.

On Friday November 29th 2019 we decided to search for new information that might have been discovered about the whereabouts of Dan Teddy over the past eleven months and were surprised to find that it appears Dan is home.  ...and has been for a long time.

There was never an update to the original post by Sheena Ann, which was still live on November 29th, but a January 20th post to Dan Teddy's Facebook page reads:

"I want to thank everyone for the prayers and concern they have sent toward me and my family. I love all of you very much.
Now to try and explain myself, I went on a much needed Walkabout or Faithwalk (soul searching journey) . I needed to cut all ties and go for a little while to do some cleansing. I felt I needed to leave adbruptly because I knew my family would want to talk me out of it. They love me so very much. My walk was my kind of therapy, psychologists is not my thing. I believe God has a better way, Amen! I really needed to do this to get perspective on life. I just ask that anyone that is angry with me, please forgive me. It was the only way I seen possible to go do this and not have people talk me out of it. And regardless of what some may think, I'm not crazy, lol. That is, any more crazy than rest of you. I'm joking, love ya! Feel free to chastise me in the comments I deserve it."

We're happy to share the positive update and to be able to officially close this case that has engaged Owosso Now readers for nearly a year.

There's a lot more from Owosso Now to see and hear, including this week's top stories!  Keep going!
