More than 2,100 nomination forms were submitted in the five week 2019 A-LIST nomination period that began on January 1st. All local businesses nominated will appear on the ballot in the first round of voting. It's your job to narrow down the list to no more than five candidates per category.
However, to shake things up a bit, there's still the chance to write in a candidate that wasn't nominated during the nomination period. If that write-in candidate gets enough votes to be included in the Top 5 in that category, it will appear on the ballot in the final round of voting that begins on March 3rd.
The two week preliminary voting period ends on February 23rd.
The final voting period will run two weeks as well, narrowing the top 5 businesses in each category to one -- the business that receives the most votes. In the event of a tie in the final round of voting, the number of preliminary round votes will be added to the final vote totals, to break the tie.
All 2019 A-LIST winners will be revealed on March 31st.
This is the third year for the Shiawassee A-LIST powered by Durand Now.
